There was a little girl by ~Lady-Divine:iconLady-Divine:

There was a little girl, so carefree and sweet
Watching the sunset while clinging onto her dad
She always made him proud and happy and smile
She was the only one that mattered most to him.

She turned and looked into her father’s eyes
Which were filled with all his love and care for her
That sent the gleaming rays of affection and fatherly love
Into the girl’s baby eyes that were glistening with pride.

The affection and connection was so strong
That it filled the girl’s heart, mind and soul
She would cling onto her dad’s love so tight
And never let go for anything in the world.

This love was so strong that it was the best
This girl could never get enough of it
And as she grew the love made me secure
And guided her in her beautiful life

Now the father has departed from her
She’s grown and tries her best to save this love
She nurtures it as it grows in her heart
But gets weak when she feels that it’s lost somewhere.

She yearns to ask one question from him
“Do I make you proud?” is what’s running in her mind
She knows he’ll always say “yes” to her
But dies within wanting to hear it from that voice she once heard.

She feels she’ll never be the best to him
But to him she’ll always be the most precious diamond in the world
She was always the most loved in this infinite universe
She knows that love will always shine in her.

Today she wonders what her life will be like tomorrow
Wondering and hoping for one more day with him
Wanting to say how much she loved him back
Yearning to say that he was the light in her life.

She stares into the sunset once again
Hoping to see the shadow of her father next to her
Yearning to feel the warmth of his love and caress
I was that girl who has now grown.
